With Community, Training, and Resources, You Can Learn How to Support Children Who’ve Experienced Trauma

There is a critical need to provide true healing for teens and children with trauma and attachment disorders. Most parents and professionals have exhausted conventional methods and are left with no progress. These methods usually stem from a genuine desire to find relief fast but aren’t affected in the long run. We know what you’re going through. We want to give you better ways to help.

The Association for Training on Trauma and Attachment in Children (ATTACh) is a global coalition of parents, caregivers, and professionals dedicated to supporting all communities in healing children and teens affected by trauma.

At ATTACh, every member of our coalition understands your journey and will be able to help you better serve your patients or children. Our organization’s mission is to facilitate the healing process for children and teens with trauma and attachment disorders through education, training, and support for caregivers and professionals.

Children with attachment disorders may have been abandoned or hurt. They don’t know that there’s anyone else in the world who could find them lovable. They don’t understand when we say, ‘Hang tight, there’s someone else coming.’

Instead, they literally give up to the point where it takes more than telling them, ‘trust me’ for that child to believe they are cared for. That’s where ATTACh’s work matters most.

April Wallace, Family Psychologist and ATTACh Member
I had some adopted clients who were having problems with attachment with their parents. I was at a loss with what to do to treat the cases. They had stagnated.

So, I found ATTACh. All of a sudden, I went from having no idea what I was going to do, to getting validation and seeing impact from what I was doing. ATTACh has been a godsend for my practice and my clients. It has been so helpful to talk to people who get it.

ATTACh Member,

We’re not just giving the skills to raise or teach kids. It goes beyond skill building, so that everyone can grow together.
